So many things go wrong in life and we can easily get lost in thought, focusing on nothing but what’s not right with our lives. So, I thought, wouldn’t it be nice if at least once a year, on your birthday, you focused instead on what went right. And that’s exactly what I’m going to do. This is Tom Corley’s annual happy birthday gratitude list:
- I am grateful for my brother and sister-in-law for taking such good care of my mom.
- I am grateful for my son’s success at work.
- I am grateful for my daughter Kirsten who is flourishing into an outstanding writer.
- I am grateful for my daughter Casey graduating from LSU.
- I am grateful that I will not have to pay any more college tuition – thank you Casey!
- I am grateful for a wife who doesn’t get mad at me when I’m locked away for hours in my home office writing books and doing research.
- I am grateful for the best staff any boss could have. They take the pressure off of me.
- I am grateful to my son for helping me get back to lifting weights again.
- I am grateful to all of my Twitter, Facebook and Linkedin followers who validate me and my work every day.
- I am grateful for Darren Hardy and Susan Kane who were kind enough to include me in SUCCESS Magazine this year.
- I am grateful to the media and podcasters for allowing me to share my research.
- I am grateful to Hillcrest Media for helping me publish Rich Kids.
- I am grateful to the NY Book Festival for selecting Rich Kids as the 2015 winner in the Self-Help category.
- I am grateful to all those who helped me fine tune Rich Kids.
- I am grateful to my website administrator who helps me manage my Rich Habits website so expertly.
- I am grateful to all the people who provided me with advanced praise for my book Rich Kids.
- I am grateful to me for my persistence.
- I am grateful for my brain.
- I am grateful for my health.
- I am grateful to all of my team at Future Financial Partners.
- I am grateful to all of my clients.
- I am grateful that all of the pachysandra I planted did not die.
- I am grateful to Robin Sharma and his beautiful wife Geraldine for inviting me to speak at the 2014 Titan Summit.
- I am grateful for the success one of my friend’s just had.
- I am grateful for Amazon and the success I’ve had this year selling books with them.
- I am grateful to all of my friends who made this a happy year.
- I am grateful for all of my 2014 Titan friends.
- I am grateful that my “Will Your Kids be Rich or Poor” article went viral.
- I am grateful to that celebrity, or person of influence, who caused that article to go viral.
- I am grateful for the new bike I just got today for my birthday.
- I am grateful for the wonderful Facebook post my daughter posted today on Facebook.
- I am grateful that my daughter Kirsten did not get hurt in her car accident.
- I am grateful to Moody’s for employing my son.
- I am grateful to my son’s boss for doing such an amazing job mentoring Brendan.
- I am grateful that I got to travel to California for the first time in my life – thanks Dave Asprey for inviting to that speaking engagement.
- I am grateful that I completed writing another book.
- I am grateful for the family vacation we had last August n the Dominican Republic.
- I am grateful that I could afford to get my daughter Casey a car for her senior year in college.
- I am grateful to the Nathaniel Morris Inn in Manasquan for a great weekend to celebrate my wife’s birthday.
- I am grateful for my best friend.
- I am grateful that two of my friends have a new home.
- I am grateful for having all of my kids with me this past Christmas.
- I am grateful to my doctor for turning me on to Vitamin D.
- I am grateful that Matt McWilliams introduced me to John Lee Dumas.
That’s a lot to be grateful for. I’ll bet you have a lot to be grateful for too. On your next birthday make a list. When your done, you’ll realize how blessed and how special your life really is. Thank you everyone for the birthday wishes. I’m living the dream!
